Bass amps?

i'm looking for a bass amp that is around $200-300, and would be able to handle practices (full drumset, 1-2 guitars... we'll see where that goes haha) and small gigs. here is a few that i'm looking, i'd like to to hear some more comments/reviews/ect. on these please? (whatever i choose i'll DEFINITEY TRY BEFORE I BUY...) Also the Behringer Ultrabass BXL3000 and " 3000A look OK. other suggestions are great too! thank you in advance! this would for be used for rock/alt/punk band... nothing too serious but i want to be able to have a bass amp that will be useable for practices and small shows if needed! i also play some jazz but i don't need to use this amp for that... i'd probably trade in my current amp, get a larger one and then a really small one for self-practices and lessons...

1. I would go with the Gallien-Krueger. I think the sound is generally better, but it also depends on the sound that you want. For your purposes, you may want to try and find an amp with a horn or tweeter to help reach some of the higher frequencies which will help bring out a more balanced sound for your bass.
2. crate is ok. I play thru my guitar player's crate bass amp. Mine is too huge to toat around. (fender bxr 300c) The crate is ok, but it is cheap. Gallien-Krueger is a good amp. Remember, you get what you pay for. Try e-bay for price deals. Look at fender. They invented the electric bass, check out their bass amps. AMPEG would be the snot. There is a cheaper ampeg combo at www.musiciansfriend.comm that floates around $300+. If you buy cheap you will get cheap. Know that!
