What type of amplifier should i get for two 12in infinity subwoofers @ 400 watts each?
I know there is a certain rms that I should check on the amplifier but what exactly am I looking for? What should the rms be for the amplifier that I purchase?

- you say you got two infinitys 400 wts rms but in 4 or 2 ohm impedance i sugest kicker or rockford fosgate
- You need to provide whether these subs are dual voice coil or single voice coil and what the impedence is for each (2 ohms, 4 ohms, etc). It should say on the box or check infinity's website for the specs. Also, is that 400 watts peak or rms?
- It depends on what type of infinity subs! By far the best infinity subwoofers is the (Infinity kappa perfect 12.1D) now if you are going to get them or allready have them the greatest amp to go with that is the (MTX 81000D mono amp or the MTX 5101D mono amp) they are the same exact amp just the 5101D version is the 2008 model! This system would kick so much ass it is unbelievble! The subwoofers would go around 100$ to 180$ while the amp goes around 280$ to 360$ all depending on where you buy them! Oh and 1 other thing.... both the subwoofers and exspecialy the amp is hard to find! few ever made! so if you get a chance to buy them my opinoin is jump on them! Trust me!! I hope this info will help knock the other systems off the block! Oh and when shopping for subwoofers you should really look at the frequency responce the lower the better!! the lowest ever in a subwoofer for man kind to here is 18hz to 200hz and believe it or not the infinity kappa perfect 12.1D is 18hz to 200hz. I have a pair of rockford fosgate T2 and they are 20hz to 200hz and i love them but i would trade them for the infinity kappa perfect 12.1D any day!!
